About Us

Haitian Day Parade Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating, preserving, and elevating Haitian culture through free, public cultural programming, arts advocacy, and community engagement across New York City. Our work enriches the cultural landscape, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Haiti's rich history and artistic contributions. We aim to unite the Haitian diaspora and inspire pride in our heritage, ensuring that future generations recognize the significance of their cultural roots.

The Haitian Day Parade Organization creates a global landscape where the narrative of Haiti is defined by its resilience, intellectual legacy, and artistic brilliance. We envision a future where the Haitian diaspora is unified across borders, and where our cultural heritage serves as a cornerstone of New York’s diverse social fabric, inspiring pride in future generations.

We believe in the power of cultural expression to bring communities together, educate others, and celebrate our shared human experience.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to institutionalize and safeguard Haitian heritage in New York City by fostering intergenerational dialogue, providing a robust professional platform for Haitian artists, and educating the global public on the historical and contemporary contributions of the Haitian diaspora.

Through strategic arts advocacy and community engagement, we transform cultural celebration into a year-round movement for economic empowerment and social cohesion.
